A perfectly fabulous day today:
We left Redmond around 7 a.m., the weather was a peachy cloudy and cool, and the route relatively flat. We arrived in Sisters around 9 to meet Scott, Sharon, Nate and Evie along with our friend Owen from Bend for breakfast. It was great to see them all, and more fun with two little squirmy ones present. After saying goodbyes and posing for pictures, Jerry and I rode up Mckenzie Pass. What a beautiful ride! Smooth road, barely any cars or trailers. Again, did I mention the nice, cool, slightly overcast weather?
After a snack and photo break at the observatory, down, down, down we glided to Belknap Hot Springs, where we will spend the night.
Tomorrow after breakfast, it’s off to Eugene where we will have a rest day with Amy and Dennis.
More later… Pictures of today’s ride Ill try to put up tomorrow… No Internet access here at Belknap…unless I want to pay an additional $10. Which I don’t.

At the summit of McKenzie Pass, with the lava fields
I once again forgot to find out which mountain peak this is! There are many peaks visible from the summit, with indicators in the observatory describing each one.
Two of the Sisters taken through on of the observatory windows
the Sisters…
Oh, I’m jealous you got to meet up with Owen. Hey, am I the only one who sees the Virgin Mary in that pine bark?
Great photos! And finally you get some cloud cover. Snow flurries soon.
